Temporary Relocation Information

The Center for Women and Families has temporarily relocated services from our 927 S. 2nd Street facility in order to complete substantial renovations to the building.   All of our services remain available.  There is no change in agency phone or email contact information.  Interim questions about services will be answered on our crisis line.  If you need assistance call our 24 Hour Crisis & Information Line: 502-581-7222.

Emergency Shelter

Walk In Services

All services are available please call the 24 Hour Crisis & Information Line 502-581-7222 to make arrangements for services as there is no alternate physical location for walk-in services.

*Ride-to-Safety with TARC is still in effect. Request “I need a ride to safety” on any TARC bus and they will drive you to a safe location and notify The Center.

SANE Clinic

Access to trained sexual assault nurse examiners and advocates will not change. However the available location will now be at University of Louisville Hospital ER. Victims will be able to bypass the ER waiting area. The exams and associated treatments will continue to be offered free of charge. As always victims are not required to involve law enforcement.

Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available. The hospital advocate program continues uninterrupted. Kitchen volunteer opportunities will not be available during this time. New volunteer training for March 2014 has been postponed. Those interested in volunteering email volunteer@cwfempower.org to be contacted with further information.
